Wells Fargo Tower Mechanical Upgrades
Phase 1 of the mechanical upgrade project included complete replacement of the 40-story tower’s mechanical control plant including chillers, cooling towers, and fans and pumps. Phase 2 required replacement of 310 fire smoke dampers throughout the Tower and Data Processing building. Installation of the new equipment, located in the rooftop mechanical penthouse, required crane picks every weekend for six months.
