Columbia Hall
One of the main components of the Jerome Campus Redevelopment Project (JCRP) campus-wide expansion project featured construction of Columbia Hall, a new, 3-story, 43,000 sf education and science building. Columbia Hall featured a structural steel and concrete frame, CMU veneer and metal panel exterior, (2) state-of-the-art college science rooms, labs for anatomy, chemistry, physics, and biology, a bookstore to serve the entire campus, a full-service kitchen and dining area, a state-of-the-art computer lab, (12) teaching classrooms, commons and study areas, and (10) offices for college staff. All work was completed in and around an occupied school campus. Even with challenging site and weather conditions, the new facility was completed and ready for students in just eleven (11) months.
