Construction of a new transit hub is underway for the Columbia County Rider bus system, located in St. Helens, Oregon. The facility includes a public park and ride, a 2,500 sf administration office, a 5,000 sf bus maintenance building, and a secure storage yard for the transit buses. To minimize costs, the team explored dozens of value-engineering options. The project is scheduled for completion in Early Summer 2011.
